Meredith Drosback’s Biography
Dr. Meredith Drosback is the Associate Director for Science at SciLine, a program at the American Association for the Advancement of Science whose mission is to connect journalists covering science, health, and the environment with the scientific expertise and information they need to report those stories. At SciLine, Meredith leads the team that liaises with the scientific community, identifying scientific experts to participate in all of SciLine’s free services, from matching scientists with journalists looking for sources to featuring speakers for media briefings and science-training boot camps.
Prior to this role, she worked in science policy, serving for five years at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and for a year as a congressional science policy fellow with the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
Meredith has an academic background in the physical sciences and a Ph.D. in astrophysics.
