Ray Wilson’s Biography
Ray Wilson is president of Ray Wilson & Associates, consultants in organizational development and operational improvement located in Indianapolis, IN. Wilson is a veteran of 28 years as an engineer and executive manager in business where he was involved with warehousing, trucking, petroleum pipelines and terminals, equipment service and supply, laboratories, and risk management – safety, environmental, insurance. He has spent the last 20 years as a consultant in continuous improvement to a broad spectrum of clients such as law firms, banks, libraries, printing companies, high schools, engineering consulting firms, manufacturing companies, construction companies, churches, and other not-for-profits.
He is chairperson of Indy Green Congregations, is a chairperson of Hoosier Interfaith Power and Light and Project Leader of its Using Energy Prudently program.
He is co-author of three books: Process Mastery – How to Establish and Document the Best Known Way to Do a Job, and The Library’s Continuous Improvement Field Book – 29 Ready-to-Use Tools and The Quality Library: A Guide to Staff-Driven Improvement, Better Efficiency, and Happier Customers.
Wilson has BS and MS degrees in Agricultural Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and is a registered professional engineer. He has had extensive quality improvement training – several Deming Four Day Seminars; 100 days of Indy Quality Productivity and Involvement Council Roundtable training with Dr. Harold Haller, Peter Scholtes, Dr. Brian Joiner, Dr. Russell Ackoff, Dr. Eli Goldratt, Alfie Kohn, Peter Senge, Tom Noland, and others.
Ray has an 8 KW solar panel system on his home and drives an electric vehicle.
